Winrunner - Running tests and Analyzing Test Results

Running Tests
When you run a test, WinRunner interprets your test, line by line. As the test runs, WinRunner operates your application as though a person were at the controls. WinRunner provides three run modes:
Verify mode, to check your application
Debug mode, to debug your test
Update mode, to update the expected results
WinRunner runs your tests and saves the test results in a repository for you to analyze.
If you are also working with TestDirector, you can schedule and run tests on multiple remote machines.

Analyzing Test Results

After you run your tests, you can analyze the results. WinRunner's interactive reporting tools help you interpret test results by providing detailed reports which list the events that occurred during the test run, including errors and checkpoints.
Test results are color coded and marked as passed or failed.
